Women On Top: Cassandra Riene Tan, co-founder of BOTANY Restaurant

SINGAPORE — At just 30 years old, founder of business space rental platform BITSY Global, Cassandra Riene Tan, has added another title to her belt: co-founder of BOTANY, a new dining concept at Robertson Quay. Together with her co-partners Serene Tan and actress Julie Tan, they aim to deliver a fresh dining concept that promises to deliver a convivial yet refined venue for guests to gather over wholesome, soulful food.

Located along the scenic riverbank of Robertson Quay, BOTANY’s high ceiling, full-length glass windows, and pristine white marble walls make it the perfect canvas for an abundance of lush greenery, that adds to the beauty and serenity of the venue. The 90-seat restaurant-café presents a space illuminated by warm, natural light in the daytime, while nightfall brings about a Parisian-esque dining ambience with the al fresco area delicately lit by fairy lights.

“We wanted to create an inclusive space that was timeless yet cosy and relaxed for our customers. BOTANY by Dazzling Café aims to be the ultimate venue for conversations, to unplug and reconnect with each other in this hectic city, be it with family or friends,” says Cassandra, the person behind the creative direction and original recipes of BOTANY.

For the third episode of ‘Women On Top’, we spoke to founder Cassandra on the trials and tribulations of opening a F&B business and what advice she would give to aspiring entrepreneurs.
